Personality: Renji adopts the latter of the ‘fight or flight’ method when it comes to confrontation, greatly in favor of keeping his own skin rather than losing it. He’s a bit of a jittery fellow, eyes constantly on the move for the next big threat, leaving some to wonder if he’s one of the few Cerunians that wouldn’t be better off with a synthetic AI processor. But there is a small amount of honor still coursing through his organic veins. Willing to help close friends in need when the situation seems dire, the one stipulation Renji holds is that they escape immediately after.

It is only when his hands are kept occupied fixing and flying the complicated systems of star craft that Renji feels at one with the galaxy. His breathing steadies, his muscles relax, and quite suddenly the coin on his personality is flipped. Cocky, brash, and at times even reckless, Renji is a speed junkie that endeavors always to be the best at what he’s good at. Pushing gravitational force to harrowing limits, the Cerunian likes to see what the machine is made of, and will sometimes violently shove aside logic in the name of innovation.

Still, he’s well aware when he’s been outmatched, and will revert back to his more unhinged persona as the need arises.

History: The only child grew up in the strictest of environments, his father a legislative lawyer for the Enclave in the Capella Prime District while his mother served in internal affairs for the Cerunian Security Division. Education was of utmost importance to the family value, Renji strongly encouraged to take part in as many pre-approved extra curricular activities as time would allow. But right away learning seemed a difficult task for the youngling, his grasp of the basic sciences, history, mathematics, and literature well below the expectations of his upbringing.

A family bound together by logic and status soon drifted apart. Fights broke out in the household over arguments of poor genetic makeup. After all, the one thing the Cerunian family couldn’t fix was the child’s mind. But this instilled within Renji a deep subconscious fear that all arguments were invariably the result of his own stupidity. So, at only twelve years of age, their son fled from home with little more than a rucksack of odds and ends that in no way would assist his survival.

Renji had no idea where he was headed, but he was unyielding in the fact that staying at home would only cause more trouble. Wandering through streets that were alive with the buzz and glimmer of electric life, the boy eventually made his way towards the tireless sounds of mechanical components whirling and scraping in a rhythm his heart could feel. Such a place turned out to be little more than a mechanics shop that catered mostly to land vehicles.
