Appearance- Standing at about six feet tall, Alvi is slim, just below a medium build. His hair is long, blonde and will be generally unkept and dirty from the various projects he works on.
Blue eyes generally stare with a curious intensity, as if everything he studies has a desire to know what makes it tick on the inside. Even living beings.
History: Alvi was the first son of a prestegious family of AI developers on Eiren. Both his mother and father were brilliant in their field, developing AI's that thought beyond just simple logic reasoning, some of them transcending into instinctual AI's.
Alvi himself, was proving to be prodigy of that family line when, with simple parts he had gathered together from scrap in his mother and father's production building and a computer no better than one an average citizen of the planet would buy their child, Alvi built his first AI at the age of 6, naming the AI, Boxxer.
At first, his father especially thought the creation was something to be proud of when the AI, despite being so large, showed infant level intelligence as it displayed curiosity and a thirst to explore it's surroundings.
But his view had changed to astonishment when he soon discovered that the infantile android began showing signs of learning as normal human spieces did, and at a rapid pace. Even more so, Alvi's mother discovered the AI showing signs of human emotion as it began displaying a maternal bond to Alvi himself, seeing the child as his father of sorts.
Both of his parents knew that Alvi was something special, when at such a young age he had surpassed their own AI programming capabilities. While the two of them had managed to develop AI's with Logic and Instinct, Alvi had developed an AI which would learn both as it developed through later stages of simple emotional development, just like any other living human would. It was brilliant, but at the same time dangerous. Boxxer would have so close a bond to Alvi, that normal protocals programmed into AI's would be unnecessary to safegaurd Alvi from Boxer ever harming him, but the program in of itself meant that Boxxer had that potential to harm anyone out of simple negative emotions like anger or jealousy. To them, it was like playing with fire.
Still, Alvi refused to add protocals to Boxxer's AI programming, going so far as to throw a fit in front of his parents, which in the end caused Boxxer to experience emotional sadness and stand between his parants and Alvi, safeguarding Alvi from the source of that sadness.
What was their prodigy, slowly over the years became their worry as Alvi developed other AI's sharing similar traits as Alvi retreated into solitary, mourning AI's that had expired do to faulty elements that made up their bodies or others mistaking them for faulty AI's and destroying them when they tried to play with other children during their emotional development. Through it all, Boxxer had been with Alvi, still lasting as Alvi's first born as Alvi constantly made repairs and upgrades to Boxxer's android body.
As Alvi reached adulthood, his parents began to become embarassed as he continously refused contracts and jobs offered by several individuals and instead, retreated into his own lab, constantly developing AI programs, designing bodies, researching energy sources. Alvi claimed his work was meant for something greater, and his parents soon felt that his brilliance was causing him to slip into madness.
Then, one night, while looking over his lab, Alvi's father spied the designs Alvi had been drawing up for a space station. The entire thing, from what Alvi's father could understand of the complex equations, was actually the body for another AI. His father's heart skipped a beat, never even contemplating of an Space Station AI. No one had.
It was then that Alvi's father finally saw a madness, and rather than let it slip further, and begin to affect their family business, he would grant Alvi's request, one he knew was made by leaving such plans out for him or his mother to find, and use his resources to have the station built.
Three years later, work had been completed, and Alvi was being flown off planet, making his way towards what he considered his purpose in life, with Boxxer at his side.
In tracking the vessel, it was discovered that Alvi made a stop along the way at Miral. For what purpose, they didn't know or ask. They were only all to happy to have the black sheep of the family away.
Personality- Alvi can be seen as very eccentric. Most would even see him as possibly insane and someone who simply can’t slow down. Though the few that know him well, know that is far from the truth. Alvi has an intense curiosity. At first, such only extended to AI’s and how various mechanical and computer programs worked, but it later developed in all things as he is continuously branching out his fields of knowledge into several, sometimes seemingly unrelated fields of science.
Alvi is working towards a goal in this behavior, however. And as chaotic and erratic as it may all seem to most onlookers, Alvi has a purpose to it all. Whatever that is, however, only a couple and himself seem to know, and they’re all remaining tight lipped about it.
